Interactive Messages for WhatsApp Business API

Templates--> Interactive messages (the creation section is not available for employees with the Manager role)

“Interactive messages" are messages that can contain, in addition to text and video/image/document, buttons (up to 3 pcs.) or a list of items to choose from (up to 10 pcs.).

Such messages consist of several components. For ease of use, we have a feature for creating interactive message templates so that you don't have to compose them again every time.

Basically, such templates can only be used with WABA integration, since the gray WhatsApp integration does not support buttons.

Creating an interactive template:

You can create such a template by clicking on the "Create template" button in the Interactive Messages section:

A page opens to create an interactive message. On this page, you need to enter a template name, choose a template header type, enter text, and optionally, a footer.

Next, you need to select an Action. The types of actions available depend on the selected template header type:

1. Title type "Text": "Buttons" or "List" are available

2. Title type: "Image"/"Video"/"Document" - "Buttons" are available

3. Header type "Without header": "Buttons" or "List" are available

The "Button" action:

You can set from 1 to 3 buttons, with a maximum of 20 characters in the button name.

The "List" action:

You need to specify the title text, title and description of the items (description is optional) from 1 to 10 items in the list.

Sending an interactive message template:

To select a template to send, in the chat window, click on the "templates" button, and set the switch to "Interactive".

The search works based on the template text.

When you select a template, a preview window opens for previewing the template before sending it.
