To send a WABA template of the "Carousel" type, select a template of the "Carousel" type in the template selection chat window.
On the template selection page, the preview of the carousel template is interactive, you can switch between cards.If the first or last card is shown in the preview, then one of the arrows for switching between cards becomes inactive.
Since you always need to attach media in the WABA carousel template, if the carousel template is selected in the list and displayed in the preview, the “Open Template” button is displayed under the preview.
When you click on it, the WABA template filling page opens.
The WABA template filling page that opens displays the fields for filling in the carousel template.
The display of the filling fields of the carousel templates differs from other WABA templates.
The fields are displayed in order:
Main text variables – the “Main text” field
After the line and heading “Card {{card number}}” are filled in for each card
-Picture/video attachment field
-Variable descriptions of the card (if available in the template)
– the “Description” field
–Variable of the link button (if there is if there is in the template)
– the “Link button” fieldThe fields of paragraph 2 (written above) are repeated as many times as the cards were added to the template.
Text in the attachment field:
Video: mp4 up to 16 MB is supported. Only mp4 files are displayed in File Explorer.
Images: jpg, jpeg, png, size up to 5 MB Text in the attachment field: jpg, jpeg, png up to 5 MB are supported. Only jpg, jpeg, png files are displayed in the explorer.
The preview is filled with the values of the variable fields as they are filled in.
Images/videos added to the template are also displayed in the preview after being added.
The preview will scroll down.
When you click on “Send to chat", if all fields are filled in, then the completed template is sent to the chat.
In the RW chat, sent carousel template messages are displayed as a regular message, but with arrows on the sides to switch between cards.
In WhatsApp it looks like this:
For Kommo.com added the ability to fill in and send a WABA carousel template.
The preview shows only one card at a time. Switching between cards is possible through the buttons with numbers under the cards. By clicking on the number, you can switch the preview to the card under the selected number.
The preview shows a field with the text “Picture”/”Video” to display the location of the media in the message.
When you click on “Open Template”, the template filling page opens.
In the fields to fill in, the fields for attaching an image/video are displayed first. Next, the fields of the variables of the main text, the fields of the variables of the description of the card, and the fields of the variable of the link buttons go in order.

After filling in the fields and sending the template, the template data is inserted into the message input field, the message must be sent to the contact.

When creating a WABA template mailing list, Kommo.com also added changes to allow filling in and sending WABA carousel templates.
